Long drive: Germany to Austria

Travel Date:

Saturday, 24th May 2014

We're now on the fourth day of our trip and it has been amazing. Woke up as early as 4:00 am to check some emails and to pack up. At 5:30 am, I woke up Hubby so that we can put all the needed stuff and toiletries before our scheduled bags out at 6:15 am.

West Coast is the name of the hotel restaurant where we had our breakfast. It was another good and full breakfast. For more details, please see the West Coast food review in the related articles section below.

At 7:15 am, we departed from Crowne Plaza Heidelberg. We had seen a lot of green mountains when we passed through a wooden mountain range of the northern Black Forest.  Enjoyed the beautiful sceneries as we continued our journey through the Bavarian Alps.

We had our lunch at Cafe AM Park, a restaurant of Mullen Hotel in Hohenschwangau and enjoyed the picturesque view of Neuschwanstein Castle. Read and see more pictures we have taken in the next article.

More of postcard-like sceneries were witnessed, such as snow-capped mountains, some farms and valleys approaching the Austrian border. Then we headed to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol. We reached our next pit stop at around 3:00 pm.
