Fontaines de la Concorde

Travel Date:

Friday, 30th May 2014

One of the highlights in our tour was to see the different known monuments in the streets of Paris. Fontaines de la Concorde is one of the most visited place which is situated at Place de la Concorde and has two fountains. South fountain was built to honor the maritime commerce and industry of France while the north fountain commemorates navigation and commerce on the rivers of France. These fountains are very detailed and stunning!

Did you know that one of the scenes in ‘The Devil wears Prada’ was shot in Place de la Concorde? Amanda comes to Paris for the Fashion week. An important scene shows her throwing her phone in a fountain.
