Basilica Saint Nicolas is a Roman Catholic Church (locally known as "Sint Nicolaaskerk"), which is opposite the Centraal Station. Saint Nicolas if the patron saint of the city which is the patron saint for seafearers.

The church was designed by architect Adrianus Bleijs, and was constructed between 1842-1912. The church's design is a mixture of neo-Baroque and neo-Renaissance styles and not the usual neo-Gothic style which was common in the 19th century. To preserve the beauty of this magnificent church, they did some restorations both interior and exterior of this holy place in 1999.

It was a fulfilled feeling to be able to visit, to offer prayers and to witness the beauty of this Church.
