Life-size Noah's Ark

Travel Date:

Thursday, 14th July 2016

One of the first long drives during summer was a trip to Williamstown, Kentucky. We hit the road past 07:00 in the morning and arrived at our destination after 3 hours drive.  The first activity on that day is to experience and enter into a full-size replica of Noah's Ark called "Ark Encounter," a theme park opened on 7th July. The opening day wasn't just an ordinary day for this attraction, but it was important numbers, 7-7. Because it relates to the bible scripture Genesis 7:7, verse 1 which says: "Then the LORD said to Noah: Go into the ark, you and all your household, for you alone in this generation have I found to be righteous before me."

Noah's Ark measures 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high,  and these dimensions based on the Bible. It was as long as one and a half football field. This massive structure is seven stories high filled with world-class displays about the biblical account of Noah’s Ark.

Did you know?
Ark Encounter is the largest timber-frame structure in the world.

I think we all wonder like, how big was Noah’s Ark? How did Noah fit all the animals on board? How did Noah feed and care for all the animals? How did Noah build the Ark? Aside from the detailed information on Ark architecture and construction,  It was so interesting to learn about the life of Noah, what was his occupation before he built the ark. Also, there is also exhibit that tells us what happened to animals after the flood and some facts about the Great Flood. The Ark Encounter is a must-see for every family because it allows you to experience what Noah’s life may have been like.
