Exploring Lucerne

Travel Date:

Tuesday, 27th May 2014

We started our leisure walk around the neighborhood from the hotel in a cold, drizzling afternoon. Shops and offices were already closed and most of the people were heading on their way home. There was a public map on the street that helped us guide our way to the Chapel bridge - the main tourist attraction of the city.

Walked across the Schweizerhofquai bridge to pictures of the famous bridge. We proceeded to Rathausquai road admiring the old structures and while looking for some place to eat. Our journeyed continued in shopping streets and we could not find any open restaurants. The rain poured and we hurriedly took a shade of a nearby building. A few blocks away, we saw an opened restaurant and glad to find out that they are still serving, so we took our first Swiss dinner.

On our way back to our hotel, we decided to cross using the Chapel bridge. It really felt good walking with hubby and enjoying the view.

Know more and see more pictures of the Kapellbrücke in the next article.
